A 19-year-old criminal, Tommy, lives for drugs, parties, and violence until a chaotic night leaves him separated from friends and abducted by strangers. He awakens chained in the basement of a remote suburban home, terrified despite his own brutality. There he meets a disturbing family: Chris, a polished yet sinister patriarch, Kathryn, his ghostlike wife, and their young son, Jonathan. Determined to “reform” him, they subject Tommy to a cruel, manipulative rehabilitation filled with psychological torment and physical control. As the family tightens its grip, Tommy must endure their mind games while desperately searching for any chance to escape.
The Good Boy constantly challenges who you should sympathise with and is supported by strong acting, especially Stephen Graham, who brings depth and menace to the role.
