We are pleased to say that Harborough Cinema has made its home at Harborough Theatre. The theatre stands in Church Square, adjacent to the magnificent parish church, Saint Dionysius, and the Old Grammar School, one of only a few remaining ancient buildings standing on massive legs.
Inside the theatre there is a welcome lounge with seating and a bar, offering a selection of wine, beer, spirits and soft drinks.
Ice creams are normally served during the interval of broadcasts.
This lounge can also double as a studio area and also has a projector and a screen which can be used to show films in addition to the main auditorium.
On the first floor, accessible by stairs and by a lift from the lounge area, the theatre boasts a 117-seat tiered auditorium, with a 12 speaker surround-sound Dolby system. An induction loop is available for patrons with hearing aids, and there is a wheelchair position close to the lift access lobby. We have installed top-quality cinema equipment, including a large screen and a digital projector, giving as good a picture as is available from any cinema.
