Elly Conway (Howard) is a writer struggling with her latest spy thriller. Her idea of bliss is a night at home with her computer and her cat, Alfie. The plots of Elly’s books centre on smooth-talking secret agent Argylle and his mission to unravel a global spy syndicate … but quiet evenings at home become a thing of the past, as Elly’s fictional world and her real one begin to blur. She crosses paths with Aidan (Rockwell), a distinctly un-Argylle-esque agent, who swoops in when Elly finds herself under fire, her espionage plots unwittingly holding real-world truths. Elly and Aidan make a wonderful pair with genuine chemistry and great comic timing.
