A French film evening, featuring two films, firstly this film ‘The Chorus’ starting at 5.15pm. This is then followed by a French style buffet including French wine, cheese, pate and French bread. The second film, ‘Micmacs’ will start at 7.45 pm. The ticket price is £10 and includes both films and the buffet.

A huge hit in its native France. Set in a boarding school for troubled boys in the beautiful Auvergne area in central France in 1949, The Chorus tells the story of a kindly teacher who slowly but very surely wins over his urchin pupils through the joy of music despite innumerable obstacles put in his path. Even though all the notes are predictable, the film hits them with wit, warmth and gusto.

Centred on the soaring sound of a boy’s choir, this film will charm your ears and give you an emotional tale of how humble dreams can change lives.
