When she receives a gift from her godfather, Drosselmeyer, Marie doesn’t know what to make of the strange toy inside a wooden nutcracker in the shape of a little man. But when the Christmas Eve celebrations are over and the clock strikes midnight, the nutcracker magically transforms into a life size human. Taking charge of an army of tin soldiers, who battle against the Mouse King and his army of mice, the nutcracker must fight to save Marie.
This beloved holiday classic will enchant the whole family with its fairy-tale setting and Tchaikovsky’s timeless score. The Bolshoi’s version of The Nutcracker has a unique and beautiful sense of romance, danced by the heroic Denis Rodkin as the courageous prince and the magical Anna Nikulina as Marie.
